Ankana Bracelet
Ankana Bracelet
COLORS VARY. "Okwenkanankana" in Uganda means equality, and this piece fights for just that for the boys and women of LOT 2545. This bracelet is a perfect match with our Ankana necklace to add some fun to your look. The Ankana bracelet makes a perfect gift for yourself or the other empowering women in your life. The bracelet comes in varied colors.
This bracelet is made from recycled paper by the women of Kwagala by LOT 2545. Each bead is hand rolled and varnished to make each bead and bracelet unique. The bracelet is water resistant, but we do not recommend submerging in water.
LOT2545 is a registered 501(c)3 working in Kampala, Uganda with teenage boys that used to call the streets home. They have a loving home where the boys are able to find a place off of the streets where they can begin to heal from years of trauma and abuse, and prepare for their futures. They also employ a wonderful group of women to handcraft each piece. They pay the women above the market value for their work, and then all profits go to benefit the boys' home run by LOT 2545.
