Kim Bobo, Executive Director of Interfaith Worker Justice is giving a talk at Saint Mary's on Thursday, March 18 at 3:30 in the Vander Vennet Theater which is in the Student Center. Her talk is titled "Making a Difference for Low-Wage Workers." This talk is open to the community so please feel free to share this information with others would might be interested.

"Recently named by Utne Reader Magazine as "One of the 50 Visionaries Who are Changing Your World," Kim Bobo, Executive Director of Interfaith Worker Justice in Chicago, will speak on Thursday, March 18 at 3:30 in Vander Vennet on "Making a Difference for Low-Wage Workers." The author of the new book "Wage Theft in America," Kim is a longtime social justice advocate who works to organize people of faith in the battle over fair pay, benefits and equal treatment for low-wage workers. Kim has an extensive background in organizing and advocacy through her past experience as Organizing Director with Bread for the World, a faith-based organization active on hunger and food security issues, and through her work mobilizing faith communities to support low-wage workers in cities across the United States through Interfaith Worker Justice. Kim visits our campus through the collaboration of CWIL, the Justice Education Program, and the Sociology Department."
